The 1810c is the desktop sibling of the rack-mount 1824c. It's 12.5 inches wide, so it sits on a desk, and it doesn't come with rack ears. Up front are four XMAX combo inputs with 80 dB of gain, the first two taking guitar or bass, plus a big Main knob. Around the back you get four direct line inputs, ADAT optical in for eight more channels (four at 96 kHz), S/PDIF in and out, MIDI, main outputs plus four line outputs, and both headphone jacks. That's 18 inputs and 8 outputs over USB-C, with a DSP monitor mixer you run from Universal Control. Its manual dates from 2019, and PreSonus still sells it. Buy one with its 12 V supply, and add an ADAT preamp later when you run out of mic inputs.

How to tell it apart
The 1810c is a 12.5-inch-wide black desktop box with blue end caps, four combo inputs on the front, six small knobs and one big Main knob on the right. Both headphone jacks are on the back, with only their level knobs on the front. The 19-inch rack-mount sibling is the Studio 1824c, and the earlier Studio 18|10 USB has the same layout in silver with blue knobs and a square USB-B port.
Mac and Windows
Drivers and support
It's class compliant on Mac and needs no driver there, and PreSonus has supported it on Apple Silicon Macs since Universal Control 3.4.2 in March 2021. Windows needs the ASIO driver in Fender Universal Control, whose 5.1 release (July 2026) names the Studio 1810c and supports Windows 10 22H2, Windows 11 24H2 and macOS 13.7.8 or later. On an iPad it works with its own power supply, but the onboard mixer sends everything to outputs 1/2 unless you bypass it from Universal Control on a computer first.
The 12 V DC external power supply. A replacement must match the 12 V and the centre-positive plug marked by the socket.
Two 1 m cables, USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A.
No rack ears. It's a desktop unit, and the rack-mount version is the 1824c.
Software is tied to the first registration. A 1810c registered new today gets a perpetual Fender Studio Pro licence, and earlier units came with Studio One Artist. Fender's transfer page says software that came free with hardware can't be transferred, though its registration page says a previous owner can transfer it, so ask the seller and don't count on it.
Check the listing photos against this list, and ask the seller about anything you can’t see. A missing power supply or a licence that won’t transfer should come off the price.
What to check
The most common problem with used ones is a missing or wrong 12 V power supply, since it won't run on USB power. We didn't find a widely reported electronic fault, so test the gain knobs, 48V and every output, and PreSonus documents a factory firmware reset (tap Line five times at power-on) if a unit acts up.
01Power supply: Check the photos for the 12 V PreSonus supply. Good is the original adapter, not a loose generic one.
02Model: Check for a 12.5-inch black box with STUDIO 1810c and a USB-C port. A 19-inch rack unit is the 1824c, and silver is the older 18|10.
03Gain knobs: Ask for a short video turning all four gain knobs end to end while recording. Each should stay quiet, with no crackle.
04Phantom power: Ask the seller to test 48V with a condenser mic on each front input. The 48V button should light and the mic should work on all four.
05Outputs and headphones: Ask whether the main, line 3–6 and both rear headphone outputs were tested. Good is clean sound from each.
06Firmware: Ask the seller to connect it to Universal Control and check for a firmware update. Good is the latest firmware with no update pending.
07Your computer: Check your OS against Fender Universal Control's current requirements. Good is an up-to-date macOS Ventura or later, Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11 24H2.
Only three 1810cs are for sale on eBay US today, so the $311–414 delivered they ask isn't a market read. The cheapest is a used one from a 99.9% UK seller at $311 delivered, $97 of it shipping, and a new one from a US seller asks $414. It runs from a 12 V center-positive supply, not USB power, and neither used title names one, so pick one with the power supply, or budget for the matching one, and if the UK unit comes with its adapter, expect a UK plug. Check the photos for a 12.5-inch black desktop box with STUDIO 1810c and a USB-C port, since a 19-inch rack unit is the 1824c, and ask for a video turning all four gain knobs while recording. Skip the $350 one from a zero-feedback seller.

The lowest-priced 1810c here at $311 delivered from a 99.9% seller, though $97 of that is shipping from the UK. The title doesn't mention the 12 V supply, so ask whether it's included and what plug it has.
